The Day San Diego Was Wonderful

Let's backtrack to a ridiculously pleasant Saturday in May, this one where the green juice I'm always altering turned out perfect,
yoga outdoors felt even more mindblowing than usual,
the lox bagel at Brooklyn Bagel & Bialy was at its most impressive and their outdoor patio felt noticeably  well-designed,

Wait Wait Don't Tell Me was hilarious to the point of roaring laughter,
the bavarian cream for grandma Bella's Napoleon cake recipe turned out especially thick and lemon rind infused,
San Diego's outdoor furniture seemed especially playful,

the dog beach had an especially good mix of pup peers for Hadley to interact with, and the sun was warm and beautiful and the salty breeze delicious,
and Hadley was especially tired and pliable,
and I got to use the industial service elevator at my loft,
and the dusk was especially magical and the colors intensified every object we walked past,

and the tamal at Bario Star was at its all time most gourmet.
All leisure days should be like that Saturday.
